How your mindset can transform your life
Like I mentioned before, your thoughts create your reality.
In other words, your thoughts determine how you see the world, how you interpret and process experiences, and will therefore determine how you will feel about everything that happens in your life.
If you can learn to process all those things in a more effective, constructive and inspired way, then you will be able to tackle any situation head on, with a lot more confidence and courage.
Because if you’re able to learn how to always see the positive, to see the silver lining, to appreciate challenges for the lessons they are teaching you, then you can transform yourself and transform how you experience life.
Transforming your mindset means learning how to re-direct your thoughts from a frustrated place to a more empowered place. It means looking at a situation and trying to appreciate the lessons you can learn from it, as hard or challenging as it might feel.

Mindset Hack 1 | Morning Mantra
When you wake up in the morning, what’s the first thought that comes to your mind?
Is it something along the lines of…. “Ugh, I don’t want to get up! I don’t want to go to work, I don’t feel like it, why do I have to go to work today?”.
Or maybe it’s something like: “Ok, I need to remember to grab my notebook before heading out of the house. I also need to pick up my package from the post office. Oh, I also can’t forget to tell my boss about XYZ…” and on and on down the rabbit hole you go.
I strongly believe that your morning routine will determine the tone for the rest of your day.
Not to say that if you have a good morning then the rest of your day will be rosy.
BUT if you start your day on a more inspired and positive tone, then you’re more likely to be able to maintain that for the rest of the day.
And one of the things that I want you to do is to choose an inspiring mantra so that the first thought that you have in the morning when you wake up is THAT.
So that when you’re slowly coming out from dreamland, your first thought is something inspiring and positive so that you can start your day on the right foot.
Repeat this mantra over and over again (at least 10 times) so that it really sinks in.
This is such a more positive way to get the day started! And this can be a mantra that you go back to during the day, if you’re starting to feel negative or frustrated with something. It’s a great way to bring you back in the moment and remind you of the emotions and feelings and thoughts that you’re trying to cultivate in your life.
Here are a few ideas to get you inspired for your morning mantra:
- I am happy and healthy;
- Everything happens for a reason;
- I am grateful to be alive;
- Life is beautiful and I am happy to be alive;
- Today is going to be an amazing day.
Mindset Hack 2 | Brain Dump
This has to be one of my favourite things to do.
You know that moment where you start feeling overwhelmed with thoughts and emotions that you don’t even know where to start to unpack it all?
Yeah, we’ve all been there.
Doing a brain dump is the solution. Which means that you’re going to sit down, take a piece of paper and a pen, and you’re going to write down everything that’s on your mind.
It doesn’t have to be organized or look pretty (that’s why it’s called a “dump”) and just relieve your brain from all the clutter.
The moment you put things down on paper, you alleviate your mind from all the jumble of thoughts and emotions so that after, you can take a step back, take a small breather, and be able to look at it from an “outsider” perspective.
And why is this relevant for your mindset?
If you want to learn how to transform your mindset to redirect it to a more positive and inspired place, then you need to learn how to organize and process your thoughts!
And writing things down will help you do just that!
Because when it’s on paper, you can take a look at it and be able to sort through it more effectively. You can look at it and really see what emotions and thoughts aren’t serving you so that you can focus on the things that you have control over.
Mindset Hack 3 | Ask the Right Question
This mindset hack goes hand in hand with # 2 – not sure what to do with your brain dump? Then ask yourself the right questions.
Whenever something happens and you feel your thoughts spiralling into a black hole of negativity and frustration, stop, breathe, and ask yourself more inspiring and empowering questions so that you can see the situation and experience it differently.
So here are the RIGHT questions you should be asking yourself so that you can process your thoughts and emotions more effectively:
Question 1: What else could this mean ?
In other words, you’re interpreting the situation from one angle, but what ELSE could this mean?
For example, if your friend cancels dinner plans, your initial reaction might be frustration and disappointment and going off on a tangent that your friend always does this, they’re not reliable, they don’t care about you etc.
However, “What else could this mean?” – your friend cancelled, this might be a sign from the Universe that you need to stay home tonight and focus on yourself. Maybe you should be resting or doing a pamper session. Or maybe this is a reminder to learn how to enjoy your own company instead of always relying on someone else to have fun.
Question 2: What can I learn from this?
What can you lean about yourself? What’s a weakness or strength that you’re realizing that you have and that you want to work on OR appreciate?
Going back to the same example of the friend cancelling your dinner plans – you might learn that this friend isn’t reliable. Or you’re learning about yourself that you rely too much on the company of others and need to learn how to be okay with spending time and having fun by yourself.
The moment you take a situation as a learning opportunity, it already alleviates the negative thoughts and emotions towards it and you can more easily let go of them so that you can focus your mind on the positive.
Mindset Hack 4 | Cultivate gratitude instead of expectations
This is another big one that I’ve learned recently and that is VERY powerful.
Let me first start by asking you: Do you ever feeling disappointed about the outcome of a situation?
I can guarantee that most of you answered “Yes”. And I can also guarantee that you were disappointed because you had a certain expectation of the outcome of the situation.
For example, if you have a date night planned, then you’re going to have expectations of how it’s going to go – how you’re going to feel, how your significant other is going to react to you when they see you in that new sexy dress. You might even have expectations of what your S.O. is going to tell you, how they’re going to look at you.
And if any of those expectations don’t come to life, what do you think will happen? How are you going to feel?
Disappointed and sad. And that can lead to the situation spiralling – you react to S.O., you get frustrated so you snap at them, this could lead to an argument and then the evening is ruined and REALLY not what you expected.
Now I want you to imagine that you go into the situation (the date night) with an open heart and the intention of just enjoying your time with your S.O.
What do you think will happen if they compliment you on your new dress? It’s going to be a “bonus” because you didn’t expect it!
And if they don’t compliment, then who cares, because you didn’t expect or have it in your mind to begin with, so you won’t feel disappointed or frustrated!
Instead, the whole evening, your thoughts are focused on gratitude for being able to spend time with someone that you love and care about, and that you’re able to share quality time together and just enjoy each other’s company, no matter what the surrounding circumstances.
The moment you have expectations, you’re setting up yourself up for potential disappointment.
Instead, you should, cultivate the mindset of gratitude where your heart will always be filled with positive emotions and feelings. This will in turn help you cultivate a more positive and inspired mindset where you already feel happy and grateful for what you do have, which means that you mindset of abundance. You are focused on what you haves rather than on what you don’t have!
Which brings us back to keeping your emotional energy to focus on the things that matter in life so that you have the internal resources to direct your thoughts and focus on achieving your goals and creating your dream life.
I want you to start by creating your morning mantra and committing to repeating it every day for the next 30 days.
And at the end of every day, I want you to reflect on how you felt throughout the day. Observe the positive impact that it has on you and how you feel.
Then, you can start practicing the other mindset hacks so that you can transform your mindset and transform your life!
