In these series, I share a quick dose of wisdom in the hopes of inspiring and motivating you in your journey to achieving your goals and creating a life that you love. This is an excerpt from the weekly Love Letters I send to my mailing list, so make sure to subscribe if you want to receive the full letter in your inbox!
I cried really hard earlier today.
That’s the thing about mourning, emotions hit you when you don’t expect it. And it hurts. It hurts like a mofo. And it sucks. And I wish that I could magically make it disappear.
But what I had to remind myself today is to not be afraid of feeling the sadness and the pain. To embrace it. And that it will pass.
Because that’s the thing with emotions. If you don’t face them and you continue to ignore them, they will find a way back to you and will do anything to make sure you can’t avoid them. So give yourself the upper hand and face your emotions. Sit with them. Embrace them. Because the faster you do, the faster you will be able to release them.
As hard as it is to feel those uncomfortable emotions, it also feels empowering.
